Friend reunions, multi-family weekends and milestone birthdays need beds that scale: multi-cottage estates, large villas and hotels that can sleep double-digit parties without splitting across three villages. This listicle shortlists audit stays with high `max_guests_total` and/or multi-unit footprints — cross-link exclusive-use villas when one house is better than many keys.

How we checked this

Source: the union of our places-to-stay audits (`stay_audit.csv`, `stay_audit_outer.csv`, `stay_audit_outer_exp.csv`), verified 5 October 2026 against official estate pages where possible. We only list farms with `has_accommodation` yes or limited and at least one `source_urls` entry; we skip `duplicate_of` rows and exclude Bloemendal. Dragonridge is temporarily closed (not bookable) and is omitted from open inventories. Rates print only with a dated `rate_year` and stated `rate_basis`; undated tariffs are omitted or flagged. Star grades appear only from the audit `star_grading` column — estate marketing "5-star" claims are not treated as TGCSA confirmation. 1. Appoint one booking lead — estates hate six separate email threads. 2. Decide exclusive-use vs multi-key before you fall in love with a photo. 3. Ask about shared braai spaces, parking and late check-in for flights. 4. Confirm generator/solar capacity if half the group needs CPAP or baby monitors (load shedding). 5. Re-read kids/pets flags — Clouds and Lyngrove are not automatic family fits. 6.
